This was my first time in CHC- City Harvest Church. As I'm new to the church, Thank you Susean for waiting and leading me to the hall. Thanks for inviting and thanks for introducing me to your friend. It was a great kick start of a week and I'm thoroughly enjoying the service.
My family, frankly, they weren't went to church every week. In fact, they are not Christian. I came to my Christian faith later on in life, from merely having fun in Sunday school with other kids, slowly growing and understand the precepts of God in life.
Philippians 1:12-18 What life Means to Paul
What we have is enough for Lord. If you serve Christ, He will gives you what he has. The question is: How much faith do you have and allow Him to work in your life? Will you holy surrender to God at the first place?
In life, we often asked ourselves: Why me? Why is this happened to me when I trust you? One of my friend always tell me: Christian's life is not bed of roses, there maybe sorrows, challenges and disappointment. Rather than asking God ' Why me?', Have Faith. We should ask ourselves, how much faith do you have and put into God to work in your life? Paul encourages us to remain faithful to Christ and to rejoice in God, no matter what circumstance arise. We have to believe in God that he will create miracles and we should anticipate what God will do for us. Focus on the Gospel of God rather than asking why, why are those sadness falls on us.
Have faith. Believe in Him.
- Chain brings progress. God uses your painful circumstance to advance his gospel. God has chain them to you and He is advancing the Kingdom through you. Believe that God is always at work.
- Chain brings encouragement. In life, we are not suppose to compete all the hardships we are going through, complaining how hard, how painful, how much we suffered.
- Chains reveal priorities. In the midst of suffering, you will slowly find out what is important. As we're solving problems, rather than finding out what is the answer, we should expand the gospel of God. Many tends to marginalize the Gospel and rushing to find out an answer, rushing to find a way out.
Reminder: 'Whatever you do, whereever you're heading to, while you're heading, are you consumed by the gospel? Reflect and think, do they served as an advancement of the Kingdom of God?
Before you criticize , think.
Criticisms can be addictive, we love to criticism, and by that, we thought that we are right and we often thought that we know a lot more than others. Criticism diverts an extraordinary amount of time and energy away from the positive preaching of Christ. Criticisms stirs up divisiveness and disunity among Christian.
By Criticizing, we begins to see things in our own perspective, not God's perspective. If we see Jesus in our circumstances, then we will see our circumstances in Jesus.
God understands
Prayer: God, I still want to serve you and I still want to advance your Kingdom. Forgive me if I've done anything wrong and is inconsistent with your words. God, I know that I'm nowhere near perfect, I know I don't go to church everyweek. I know I don't pray every night. I know that I tend to forget and I create sin everyday. I know I lost my temper sometime. However, thank you for loving me in every way and letting me see another beautiful day. Thank you for loving me. God is good, God is great and I'm proud to say that, I love you God. :')
Lastly, with God, all things are possible. Amen
